Christmas Service and Brunch
On Sunday, December 17th, we will have a Christmas Brunch from 9 -10am before the service. Invite your friends and family to join! If you would like to sign up to bring food and/or serve during the brunch, contact Katie at klarsen @ providencedenver.org. After the brunch, we will have our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am*. We will have Sarah Jackson, a special guest speaker, joining us as we look at Giving More.
As a way to spend less on ourselves this Christmas season and give more to a worthy cause in our community, we are inviting members of our congregation to give a special financial offering on Sunday the 17th to Casa de Paz.
*Special note: Kindergartener and up will be staying in the service with the adults. We encourage you to pray together as a family about how you can contribute to Casa de Paz during this season as a way to include your kids in the process of Giving More.
Sarah Jackson is the founder of Casa de Paz, a hospitality home for families torn apart by immigration and political asylum issues. It serves as a temporary home for families who have won political asylum in the United States after fleeing their countries due to war and persecution. Casa de Paz began in 2012 as a small one bedroom apartment that hosted individuals and families facing detention. Today it has grown into a center that offers emotional support, shelter, meals, WiFi and transportation to those need. They offer these services free of charge. Since opening, they have served over 1,000 families.
